غم کو سہنا آسان نہیں ہوتا

بہت سے قہقہے چاہیے

تا کہ نظر نہ آئیں آنسو

چپ ہوجانا، صبر کرنا

ہر بات کو ہنس کر سہنا

آسان نہیں ہوتا

یہ زندگی اتنی تلخ ہے

کہ آہستہ آہستہ کھولتی ہے

ہر نقاب۔۔۔۔ اور پھر

ہم سے برداشت نہیں ہوتی

لیکن ہم سمجھ جاتے ہیں
