تھے؛ جہاں سے اب خون نکلنا شروع ہوگیا تھا اور پھر وہ بیٹھ کر اپنے گیلے دوپٹے کو پاؤں کی انگوٹھی پر باری

باری رکھنے لگی تھی تاکہ خون رک سکے۔

بھاگ جاؤ بیٹی۔ بہت دور نکل جاؤ۔ پیچھے مڑ کر کبھی مت دیکھنا۔ ایسی جگہ نکل جانا جہاں یہ لوگ تم تک کبھی

نہ پہنچ سکے. بھاگو! ابھی وہ اپنے پیروں کو پکڑے بیٹھی تھی کہ اس کے کانوں میں وہی مرادنہ آواز گونجی ۔

خوف سے ٹھنڈا پڑتا وجود اور سرخی مائل ہونٹوں کی خوبصورتی جوکہ اب نیلاہٹ میں بدل رہی تھی؛

تیز بارش اور ہوا اس کے حوصلے مزید پست کیئے جارہی تھی۔

کچھ دیر وہ یونہی کرتی رہی۔ ڈر اور خوف کی وجہ سے وہ بار بار پیچھے کی جانب راستے کو بھی دیکھ رہی تھی۔ جب وہ

گھر سے نکلی تھی تب رات کے ایک بج رہے تھے؛ اور اب ناجانے اسے بھاگتے ہوئے کتنا وقت گزر چکا تھا؟

وہ اب سامنے کی جانب دیکھ رہی تھی جہاں سے اسے سڑک نظر آرہی تھی مگر بارش اتنی تیز تھی کہ اس کی نظر بھی

دھندلاہٹ کا شکار ہو رہی تھی۔ گھر؟ کیا وہ گھر سے بھاگ نکلی تھی؟ یا پھر کسی قید خانے سے؟ وہ بھاگ کیوں رہی

تھی؟اسے بھاگ جانے کو کیوں کہا گیا تھا؟ اور کیا وجہ تھی ؟ یہ ابھی ایک معمہ تھا۔
