“کیا یار ایک چھٹی ملتی ہے لیکن اس دن  میرا باپ اور بھائی گھر کی ملازمہ بنانے میں مجھے کوئی کسر نہیں چھوڑتے ۔۔۔۔ہائے میری ٹانگیں ۔۔۔۔اوے کوئی میری ٹانگیں ہی دبا دو۔”زارا نے صوفے پر گرتے ہوئے دہائی دی ۔چھٹی کے دن ان تینوں کی روٹین تھی کہ ناشتہ اور دوپہر کا کھانا مستقیم شاہ(بابا)بناتے تھے اور گھر کا کام وہ دونوں بہن بھائی مل کر کرتے تھے ۔”او جنگلی گ  بس کر دو میں نے بھی تو تمھارے ساتھ برابر کا کام کیا ہے اور وہ گھر کا سب سے واہیات کم کیا ہے (ارے بھئی زریاب بچارے کو گھر کے واشروم جو دھونے پڑے تھے لیکن یہ ڈیوٹی ہر ہفتے بدلتی تھی ایک ہفتہ زارا اور ایک ہفتہ زریاب کی ڈیوٹی تھی) ۔ہاں تو اس بار یہ تمھاری باری تھی .”زارا نے کشن اس کی طرف پھینکتے ہوئے کہا۔

“اب دوہایاں دینا بند کرو “اور تم مستقیم شاہ نے زریاب کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہوۓ کہا “اٹھو اور جا کر گندے برتن دھو “ان کی بات سن کر زریاب کا منہ کھل گیا اور زارا کا قہقہ بلند ہوا اور وہ ہنس ہنس کے لوٹ پوٹ ہو رہی تھی تو مستقیم شاہ اس ک،ی طرف دیکھتے ہوئے کہنے لگے “بس کرو پرنسس اور جاکر ٹیبل پر کھانا لگاؤ اور ساتھ چائے بنا لینا ۔”اور اب ہنسنے کی باری زریاب کی تھی ۔زارا نے اپنے بابا کی طرف دیکھا لیکن انہوں نے دونوں کی طرف دیکھتے ہوئے کچن کا اشارہ کیا تو دونوں منہ بناتے ہوئے اٹھے لکین ایک دوسرے کو گھورنا نہ بھولے ۔تم دونوں اب کچن میں جانے کی زحمت کرو گے ۔”ان کو اپنی اولاد کا پتہ تھا کہ ان کے جاتے ہی دونوں لڑنا شروع کر دیں
