Short Sneak Peak Of Story

After the chaos of the party, the cool night breeze outside felt strangely silent. Standing at the club’s entrance, Aarohi waved goodbye to Riya and Veer with a smile.

“Good night, guys! See you tomorrow,” Aarohi said cheerfully.

Riya hugged her and replied, “Yes, but go safely.”

Veer started the car and said, “Text us when you reach home.”

Aarohi nodded, took an auto rickshaw, and headed home. The streets were deserted, shop shutters were down, and under the pale yellow streetlights, the city looked lonely.

As soon as she opened the door of her house, she found her mother Shweta standing there. Worry lines marked her face, and her eyes were filled with anxiety.

Shweta spoke in a distressed tone.

“What kind of time is this to come home, Aarohi? It’s one in the night! Do you ever think how worried I get? Just yesterday, the news showed a girl in Lucknow who was raped. God forbid anything happens to you… but you must be careful!”
