“نہیں “۔مختصر جواب دے کر وہ آگے چلتی جا رہی تھی جبکہ حرا اس کے پیچھے تھی ۔

“واؤ….پھر میری بات چلاؤ نہ اپنے کزن کے ساتھ “۔حرا نے التجایئہ لہجے میں کہا ۔

“ہی از ان لو ود اینی ون”۔مہرین نے کمال ضبط سے حرا کو دیکھتے جواب دیا بے اختیار اس کی آنکھوں کے کناروں پر پانی جمع ہوا۔

“ریئلی ؟”۔حرا نے حیرت سے آنکھیں پوری طرح کھولیں ۔

“میں جھوٹ نہیں بولتی حرا”۔اس نے حرا کو دیکھا ۔

“نہیں ۔۔۔میرا وہ مطلب نہیں تھا”۔حرا کے چہرے پر مایوسی چھائی ۔

“ویسے ایک بات پوچھوں اگر تم برا نہ مانو تو؟”۔حرا نے نے کہا ۔

“پوچھو”۔مہرین سیڑھیوں کی طرف بڑھی ۔

“تمہارا کزن اتنا ہینڈسم اور گریس فل پرسن ہے ہمارے ہر ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی لڑکیاں مرتی ہیں اس پر جنہیں وہ گھاس بھی نہیں ڈالتا تم تو پھر اس کی کزن ہو اور رہتے بھی ایک ہی گھر میں ہو پھر تمہیں کیسے اس سے محبت نہیں ہوئی؟”۔اس سوال پر مہرین کے بڑھتے قدم رکے اس نے مڑ کر حرا کو دیکھا پھر جواب دیئے بغیر واپس مڑی ۔

“کیا ہوا ؟برا لگا؟”۔ڈاکٹر حرا نے اس کے پیچھے آتے کہا ۔

“حرا میرا کزن باہر سے جتنا خوبصورت نظر آتا ہے اتنا اندر سے نہیں ہے”۔نا چاہتے ہوئے بھی وہ بول اٹھی ۔

“مطلب ؟”۔حرا نے پوچھا ۔

“وہ ایک پتھر دل اور بے رحم انسان ہے حرا۔۔۔سلفیش انسان ۔۔۔۔سب سے بڑھ کر کھڑوس”۔وہ اسے فاتح کی تعریفیں سناتے اس کی سنے بغیر گیٹ کی طرف بڑھ گئی پیچھے حرا نے تاسف بھری سانس لی۔
