فاتح یکدم پلٹا تھا چند لمحے وہ اس کے چہرے

 کا جائزہ لے رہا تھا وہ اسے ایسے دیکھ رہا تھا جیسے اس کی بات پر کوئی گہرا شاک لگا ہو ۔

وہ پھر ایک دم سے وہ ہنسنے لگا مہرین

حیرانگی سے اسے دیکھ رہی تھی اور وہ

ہنستا چلا گیا یہاں تک کہ اس کی آنکھوں

 کے کنارے گیلے ہونے لگے۔

“آپ…..”۔

“مزاق اچھا کر لیتی ہو ریڈ روز”۔وہ اسے اسی

 نام سے پکارتا تھا کیونکہ وہ خود کہتی تھی

کہ وہ اسے اس نام سے پکارا کرے سرخ گلاب

 سے عشق جو تھا اسے

مہرین نے سر اٹھا کر اس کی طرف دیکھا ۔

وہ اس کی محبت کو مذاق سمجھ رہا تھا ۔

“میں…..مذاق نہیں کر رہی…..میں سچ میں

 آپ سے…..”۔

“بس”۔اس سے پہلے وہ کچھ اور بولتی اس

 نے ہاتھ کے اشارے سے اسے مزید بولنے سے

روکا۔

“بس کرو لڑکی اتنا سچ بولنا بھی اچھا نہیں

 ہوتا “۔مہرین نے چونک کر اسے دیکھا اس کے

لہجے میں عجیب سا تاثر تھا سبز آنکھیں اپنے

 اندر گہرے راز چھپائے جھکیں ہوئیں تھیں ۔

مہرین نے دیکھا وہ واپس پلٹ گیا تھا ۔

“ابھی تم بہت چھوٹی ہو اپنی سٹڈی پر دیھان

 دو”۔وہ پھر سے اپنے پہلے والے شغل میں

 مصروف ہو چکا تھا کافی عام سے لہجے

میں وہ اس خاص بات کو عام کر گیا تھا ۔

“لیکن فاتح میں….”۔

“مہرین میں اپنی بات کر چکا ہوں اب تم جا

سکتی ہو”۔فاتح نے مڑکر اسے دیکھا سبز

آنکھوں میں ہلکی ہلکی سرخی چھلکنے

لگی تھی اور یہ اس کے غصے کی علامت

 تھی مہرین کی آنکھیں پانیوں سے بھر گئیں ۔

“میری بات کا جواب تو دے دیں”۔وہ لرزتی

 آواز اور دھیمے لہجے کے ساتھ ایک بار پھر

 سے شیر کی کچھار میں ہاتھ ڈالنے کی

جسارت کر چکی تھی ۔

“میرے ساتھ کے خواب دیکھنے چھوڑ دو ریڈ روز ۔۔۔کیونکہ میں تمہیں کبھی نہیں ملنے

 والا ۔۔۔جو تم چاہتی ہو وہ ناممکن ہے میرے

 لئیے میری فیملی اور میرا کام ہی سب کچھ

ہے میری زندگی مں میں تمہاری کوئی جگہ

 نہیں ۔۔۔۔سو اپنے اس یک طرفہ پاگل پن

کو خود تک محدود رکھو اور تمہارے لئیے
