”مجھ سےکیا چاہتی ہیں آپ۔۔۔؟؟؟“ منہ پر ہاتھ پھیرتا وہ شکست خوردہ لہجے میں گویا ہوا۔انداز تھکا تھکا سا تھا۔
”تمھاری خالہ زاد حلیمہ سے تمھارا نکاح۔۔۔وہ بھی بنا کسی دیری کے۔۔۔“ گہری سانسوں کے بیچ جواب توقع کے عین مطابق آیا تھا۔
خنساء بیگم کے اس بھرپور تقاضے پر جہاں انگلیاں مروڑتے ہوئے حلیمہ کا دل شدتوں سے دھڑکا تھا وہیں وہ بھی اپنے لب سختی سے بھینچ گیا۔
”مگر وہ میرے ساتھ کبھی خوش نہیں رہ پائے گی اماں حضور۔۔۔میں دعوے سے یہ بات کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ آپکی اس جذباتی خواہش کے نتیجے میں۔۔ میں تو بےسکون رہوں گا ہی۔۔ساتھ ہی ساتھ آپکی اکلوتی بھانجی کی خوشیاں بھی برباد ہوجائیں گی۔۔۔۔“ وہ بڑی سنجیدگی سے اُنھیں آنے والے کل کی بابت آگاہ کررہا تھا۔۔۔آگاہ کیا کررہا تھا۔۔اپنی پشت پر سراپا سماعت بن کے کھڑی اُس لڑکی کو اپنے تیئں ڈرا دھمکا رہا تھا۔۔مگر وہاں پرواہ کسےتھی۔۔۔
”ہونہہ۔۔۔انسان تو خود کی چلتی ہوئی سانسوں کی گرنٹی دینے کے بھی قابل نہیں ہے برخوردار۔۔تو پھرتم کیسے اتنے یقین سے کسی کے دکھ سکھ کی گرنٹی دے سکتے ہو۔۔۔؟؟ان کھوکھلی پیشن گوئیوں کی بجائے ہمیں صرف اتنا بتاؤ کہ۔۔کیا تم ہماری اس دلی خواہش کا احترام کرو گے۔۔یاں پھراس بار بھی نافرمانی کی راہ چن کے اپنی اماں حضور کو گہری اذیت میں مبتلا کرنے کا ارادہ کرلیا ہے۔۔۔؟؟؟“ اسکی باتوں کو ہوا میں اڑاتی وہ خاصے بے لچک انداز میں بولیں تو گہرا سانس بھرتا وہ سر جھکا گیا۔
”آپ جانتی ہیں کہ آپکی رضامندی میں میری رضا نہیں بلکہ بے بسی کی انتہا شامل ہے۔۔لیکن صرف آپکی دلی تسکین کی خاطر۔۔مجھے یہ پچھتاوے بھرا سودا بھی منظور ہے۔۔۔۔“ اپنا آپ مار کے ہامی بھرتا وہ مزید وہاں رکا نہیں تھا بلکہ ایک اچٹتی ہوئی کاٹ دار نگاہ حلیمہ کے جھکے سر کی جانب اچھال کر وہاں سے نکلتا چلا گیا۔
