مزید کئی لمحے یونہی ہی آہ و زاری میں گزرے تھے کے جب بھیانک کال کوٹھڑی کا نجانے کون سا در وا ہوا تھا۔ اور پھر کھل کر بند بھی ہو گیا تھا۔ حجاب کی سماعتوں نے اگلے پل اپنے پیچھے جوتوں کی ابھرتی آواز کو سنا تھا۔ اس کی سسکیاں اور آنسو تھم گئے۔ وہ بے حس و حرکت بیٹھی آنے والی ہستی کی موجودگی کو محسوس کرکے سرد پڑنے لگی تھی۔

“چچ۔۔۔چچ۔۔۔چچ! کس حال کو پہنچ گئی تم؟”۔ اس کی پشت پر کھڑا، اس سے نزدیک تر ہو کے وہ اس پر جھکا تھا۔
مقناطیسی آواز اس کے کان سے بے حد قریب گونجی تھی۔ کلون کی مہک نے اس کا رہا سہا خون بھی خشک کر ڈالا تھا۔
وہ پلکیں تک جھپکنا بھول گئی تھی۔

“یہ سب کرنے سے پہلے کم از کم اپنے گھر والوں کا تو سوچا ہوتا”۔ وہ خاصے جذباتی انداز میں یہ جملہ بول گیا تھا۔ مگر اس میں چھپا طنز حجاب بخوبی سمجھتی تھی۔ ہتھکڑی پہنے ہاتھوں سے سلاخیں تھامتی وہ اٹھنے کا قصد کرنے لگی۔ اس عمل میں اس کی پشت پر جھولتی پونی ٹیل پیچھے کھڑے شخص کے چہرے سے ٹکرائی تھی۔ لمحے کا کھیل تھا اور ریشمی زلفوں کی خوشبو نے اسے جکڑ لیا تھا۔
اندھیرے میں وہ آنکھیں بند کرکے اپنے آپ کو اس لمحاتی سحر سے آزاد کرنے لگا۔

اس کی کیفیت سے بے خبر وہ گھوم کر اس کے مقابل آئی تھی۔ بالشت بھر کا فاصلہ تھا دو چہروں میں۔
اندھیرا لیکن اب بھی ان کے درمیان حائل تھا۔

“کچھ نہیں کیا میں نے۔ جو کچھ بھی ہوا اس میں صرف اور صرف تمہارا ہاتھ ہے۔ تم مجھ سے جانے کس بات کا انتقام لے رہے ہو۔ لیکن میں نے وہ کچھ نہیں کیا جس سے میرے گھر والوں کو یوں شرمندگی سے دوچار ہونا پڑ جائے جیسا ابھی تم نے بیان کیا”۔ سچائی پر ہونے نے ہی اسے زرا ہمت عطا کی تھی۔

تاریکی میں وہ اس کا ہیولہ ملاحظہ کر سکتی تھی۔ جو اس کے قریب آتا جا رہا تھا۔ دور ہٹنے کی چاہ میں اس کی پشت قفس کے لوہے کی دیوار سے آ لگی تھی۔ اب سامنے کنواں اور پیچھے کھائی والی بات ہوگئی تھی۔ یہ ذرا سا فاصلہ بھی پانٹ کر وہ اس کے چہرے پر جھکا تھا۔ اور ایک ہاتھ سے اس کے پیچھے موجود سلاخ پر گرفت کسی تھی۔ یوں کے وہ مکمل تو نہیں مگر کافی حد تک اس کے وجود کی قید میں آ پھنسی تھی۔
جیل کے در و دیوار جو پہلے ہی حبس زدہ تھے اب اس قربت نے وہاں جلتی پر تیل کا کام کیا تھا۔ اس دیو قامت شخص کے وجود سے اٹھتی سحرانگیز خوشبو کسی بھی صنف نازک کے حواس سلب کر سکتی تھی۔ حجاب کیلئے سانس لینا دوبھر ہوگیا۔

“تو تمہارا کہنا ہے کے تم نے کچھ نہیں کیا، ہوں؟”۔ اس کی پیشانی حجاب کے ماتھے پر گرتے بالوں سے مس ہو رہی تھی۔
وہ کچھ کہنا چاہتی تھی مگر گلا ریگستان کی مانند سوکھ کر بنجر ہو چلا تھا۔ صحرا میں چلتی گرم ہواؤں کی مانند اس کی گرم سانسیں حجاب کے لبوں کو بے آب کرکے خشک کیئے دے رہیں تھی۔ اجب جنونی انداز تھا۔ وہ اسے چھوئے بنا بھی وحشی ثابت ہو رہا تھا۔
