” لے چلو اسے مجھے بھاؤ دیتی ہے۔” وہ اسے کھینچ کر سیڑھیوں سے اوپر لے جا رہیں تھیں۔ اس حالت میں وہ ان کا مقابلہ کرنے سے قاصر تھی پھر بھی ہمت نہ ہاری۔

وہ اسے لیکر کمرے میں پہنچیں جہاں وہ سیٹھ خود پر پرفیوم چھڑک رہا تھا۔ آتے ہی انہوں نے اسے بیڈ پر دھکا دیا۔

” آرام سے۔ ” سیٹھ چاپلوچی سے بولا۔

” میں نے اسے تجھ تک پہنچا دیا ہے اب تو جانے اور یہ” وہ نخوت سے کہتی باہر چلی گئ۔

وہ اس پر گہری نظر ڈالتا دروازے تک گیا اور لاک لگا کر اس کی طرف جیسے جیسے وہ اس کی طرف بڑھا اس کی جان نکلنے کے در پر تھے۔ وہ ہمت کرکے اپنے پیروں پر کھڑی ہوئی۔ لمظ بہت مشکل سے أنکھیں کھولنے کی کوشش کر رہی تھی۔ ایک تو صبح ناشتہ نہیں کیا دوسرا نشہ دھیرے دھیرے سر پر سوار ہونے لگا۔

سامنے سے وہ بڈھا خبیث شیطانی مسکراہٹ لیے اس کی طرف بڑھ رہا تھا۔ وہ ہمت نہیں ہار سکتی تھی اسے خود کو بچانا تھا۔ وہ جانتی تھی چینخنے چلانے یا منتیں ترلے کرنے کا کوئی فائدہ نہیں کیونکہ یہاں کسی کو رحم نہیں ۔

بہت مشکل سے اپنے قدم مضبوط کیے اور خدا کا نام لیتے ساری توانائی جمع کرکے اسے زوردار دھکا دیا جو اس کے قریب پہنچ چکا تھا۔ وہ پینسٹھ سال کا نحیف سا بوڑھا سیٹھ تھا جسے اس سے اتنی ہمت کی توقع نہیں تھی یا وہ اس کے حسن کے أگے کچھ سوچنے سمجھنے کے قابل نہ رہا اس لیے دھکا لگتے ہی لڑکھڑا کر ایک سائیڈ پر گر گیا۔ اس نے موقع کا فائدہ اٹھاتے دوڑ کر لاک کھولا اور باہر کی طرف بھاگی جو ایک سنسان کوریڈور تھا۔ راستے انجان تھے مگر پھر بھی خود کو بچاتے وہ أگے کو بھاگ رہی تھی پیچھے سے أتی قدموں کی آوازیں پیچھے آنے والے کا پتہ دینے لگیں۔ یہ کوئی اور راستہ ہے اوپر جاتے وقت وہ کسی اور راستے سے گئ تھی۔

راہداری کے أخر میں سیڑھیوں کو پا کر وہ نیچے اترنے لگی جہاں کافی لوگ تھے اور ایک عجیب غریب سا ماحول تھا۔ اس شور اور روشنیوں میں بچنے کی امید ختم ہوتی محسوس ہوئی دل نے مدد کے لیے بے اختیار رب کو پکارا ۔ اس کی پکار عرش پر پہنچی اور اس نے سامنے وصی کو دیکھا جو دوسری طرف رخ کیے کھڑا تھا۔

” بھائی! اس نے پکارنے کی کوشش کی مگر رندھے گلے سے آواز نہ نکلی۔

پیچھے أتے شیطان کی موجودگی محسوس کرکے وہ پھر سے دوڑی اور بھائی کہہ وصی کی کمر سے سر ٹکایا ۔ اس نے اپنے بچنے پر خدا کا شکر ادا کیا۔

وہ اسے پیچھے ہٹا کر مڑا تو اس نے بھی نظر اٹھائی مگر وصی کی جگہ کسی انجان کو دیکھ کر پھر سے پیچھے ہٹی۔ شاید اس کی مشکل ابھی ختم نہیں ہوئی پتہ نہیں اب کونسا امتحان اس کے لیے تیار تھا۔

اب تو اعصاب بھی ساتھ چھوڑنے لگے مزید خود کو بچانے کی ہمت بھی باقی نہ رہی۔ وہ اب بند ہوتی أنکھوں سے زمین بوس ہونے کو تھی۔
