۔ “اماں آپ کی بھانجی کو مجھ سے کیا بیر ہے۔۔؟”
شہد رنگ آنکھوں میں آنسو لئے،گندمی رنگت حامل لڑکی بس رونے کو تھی۔۔
“وے اب کیا کردیا اس بیچاری نے۔۔؟” چارپائی پر بیٹھی شریفہ نے کہا۔ دبلی پتلی سی شریفہ کے ناک میں سونے کی لونگ چمک رہی تھی، کالی آنکھوں میں بیزاری تھی کیونکہ انہیں پتہ تھا انکی لاڈلی ضرور کچھ الٹا کر آئی ہے۔
“آپ کی بھانجی نے مجھ پر امتحان میں نقل کرنے کا الزام لگایا۔۔کہتی ہے کہ میں اسکے پرچے سے دیکھ کر لکھ رہی ہوں، اب بتائیں بھلا مجھے خود کو کچھ نہیں آتا کیا۔۔۔؟” گندمی رنگت، بھرا بھرا سراپا،دو چوٹیوں والی اسکول یونیفارم میں ملبوس لڑکی روتے بولی۔اسکی شہد رنگ آنکھیں جھوٹ کی چغلی کھا رہی تھیں۔
“ہاں تو، تو نقل کر رہی ہوگی تبھی تو اس نے کہا ورنہ وہ کیوں کہے گی۔۔؟کسی اور کا نام نہیں لیا اسنے۔۔۔” شریفہ نے بگڑتے کہا۔
” اماں تینوں صرف اپنی بانجی نال پیارے، باقی دھی جاوے جہنم وچ۔۔”(اماں آپکو صرف اپنی بھانجی سے پیار ہے، باقی بیٹی جائے جہنم میں۔۔”) ساز نے چیختے کہا۔
“بس بس میرے دماغ نہ کھا۔”
شریفہ نے اسے ڈپٹا۔ وہ اپنی بیٹی کی عادت سے واقف تھی۔ساز صاحبہ کو پڑھنے کا ذرا شوق نہ تھا یہ تو دادی کی خواہش تھی جو وہ 16 سال کی عمر میں پہنچ کر 8 جماعت میں آئی تھی۔ مگر عقل پھر بھی نہیں آئی تھی۔
“تسیں پڑھائی وچ کوئی دلچسپی نئیں رکھدے، جدوں پنڈ وچ سکول نواں کھلھیا سی، کوئی وی اپنے بچیاں نون پڑھاونآ چاہندا سی، پر ہندو تے سکھ اپنے بچیاں نون پڑھن دندے سن تے بعد وچ ساڈے خاندان وی اپنے بچیاں نون پڑھاون دی اجازت دتی۔ طاہرہ پہلی کڑی سی جو سکول گئی سی تے اوہ تواڈے توں وڈی اے۔
جہانزیب تے طاہرہ اکو عمر دے نیں تے اوہ اکو کلاس وچ پڑھدے سن، پر فیر طاہرہ ناکام ہو گئی تے اوہ پچھلی کلاس وچ رہی گئی، پر اوہ ہار نئیں مانتے تے اوہ محنت کر رہی اے۔۔۔”
