“میری اَن چھوئی خوبصورت بیوی۔”

اس کی سرگوشی ماہ پارہ کانوں اترتی چلی گئی:

“یہ کیسے ممکن ہے کہ کل تک تم میری نظروں میں ہونے کے باوجود اوجھل تھیں اور آج بس نظروں میں تمہیں تم ہو۔”

وہ اب آہستہ آہستہ اپنی ہتھیلیوں سے ماہ پارہ کے وجود کو ٹٹول رہا تھا۔ وہ سہمی تو نہیں تھی لیکن کچھ بولنے سے قاصر تھی۔

“مجھ سے ڈر لگ رہا ہے؟” اس نے لب ماہ پارہ کی گردن پہ رکھے، ہولے سے اس کا سر اثبات میں ہل گیا۔

 “نیچرل ہے۔ آدم مراد سے سب ڈرتے ہیں!”

اس کا لہجہ لاپرواہ سا تھا، یہ لاپروائی واقعی ڈرا رہی تھی:

“پتا ہے میری پچھلی بیوی کیسے مری؟”

چھوٹے چھوٹے سوال۔ ماہ پارہ کا خوف کچھ کم ہو رہا تھا۔ “کیسے؟” ہاۓ شامت کہ پوچھ لیا۔ آدم نے اسے بازو پر لٹا رکھا تھا، وقفے وقفے سے اپنے لب اس کی گردن پر رکھ رہا تھا:

“ہم پارٹی سے واپس آۓ تھے اور وہ بہت خوبصوت لگ رہی تھی۔ ہم دونوں نے شراب پی رکھی تھی۔ میں چاہتا تھا وہ میرے قریب آۓ پر وہ نہیں آئی، بس مجھے غصہ آیا اور میں نے۔۔۔”

آدم نے انگلی کا اشارہ کیا:

“اسے گولی مار دی۔”

آدم کے پہلو میں لیٹا وجود کانپ اٹھا۔ ماہ پارہ کی آنکھیں خوف سے بھر آئیں۔ 

“کیوں ڈر گئیں؟” آدم قہقہہ مار کر ہنسا۔ ماہ پارہ کی آنکھوں میں اضطراب تھا۔ 

“مذاق کر رہا تھا۔” اس نے ماہ پارہ کے لبوں کو بہت ہولے سے چھوا۔

“تمہارا لیے بھی ایک پارٹی رکھیں۔” بہت دوستانہ انداز میں پوچھا۔ 

“کس۔۔۔ لیے؟” 

آدم نے پھر اس کی گردن لبوں سے چھوئی:

“خودی تو کہتی ہو کہ آدم مراد صرف تمہیں کلائی سے پکڑ کر بیوی بنا لایا ہے۔”

ماہ پارہ کچھ کہہ نہیں سکی۔ آدم بیڈ سے اٹھ گیا۔ دل بری طرح کانپ اٹھا۔ وہ جب قریب تھا تو خوف محسوس ہو رہا تھا، دور چلا گیا تو اور خوف آنے لگا۔  “کل تمہیں ڈرائیور بارہ بجے پک کر لے گا۔”

پینٹ شرٹ پہن کر اس نے فون اٹھا لیا تھا۔ ماہ پارہ کی آنکھوں کا سوال بھی بھانپ لیا۔

“اپنا ویڈنگ ڈریس چن لینا۔”

“بھیج دیجیے گا۔” ہمت سے بولی:

“ورنہ پھر آپ کو تکلیف ہوتی ہے کہ۔۔۔”

وہ کہتے کہتے رک گئی۔ آدم سپاٹ نگاہوں سے دیکھ رہا تھا۔ “بارہ بجے، اوکے؟”

یہ اشارہ تھا کہ اسے ہواؤں میں اڑنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ ماہ پارہ نے اشارہ قبول کیا۔

‘مجھے ناں تم۔۔۔’ آدم کچھ کہتے کہتے رکا۔ ماہ پارہ سن رہی تھی لیکن وہ دوبارہ نہیں بولا۔ پلٹ گیا۔

ابھی نہیں، وہ اسے ابھی نہیں بعد میں بتاۓ گا کہ ماہ پارہ اسد، کوئی گناہ بھی کر لینا، بس بے وفائی مت کرنا۔۔۔۔
