اس نے ایک نظر شام کے ماتھے سے نکلنے والے خون پر ڈالی اور پریشانی سے استفسار کرنے لگی۔

پل میں ہی اس کا لہجہ سخت اور چہرے کے تاثرات سرد ہوگئے تھے۔رتبہ اس کا یوں گرگٹ کی طرح بدل جانا دیکھ صدمے میں رہ گئی تھی۔وہ کتنے آرام سےمنہ سے زہر اگل رہا تھا۔

رتبہ نے اسے کوئی جواب تو نہ دیا بس افسوس سے اسے دیکھ کر پھر اپنی جگہ پر بیٹھ گئی جب کہ اپنا حد سے زیادہ تلخ لہجہ دیکھ شام خود کو دل ہی دل میں للکارنے لگا۔ہاں اسے رتبہ کا رونا اچھا نہیں لگ رہا تھا اس لئے اس نے جان بوجھ کر رتبہ کو غصہ دلایا تھا کہ وہ رونا بھول جائے لیکن ان سب میں وہ ایک چیزبالکل بھول جاتا تھا اور وہ تھا رتبہ کا دل۔رتبہ کا دل وہ کتنی بے حسی سے توڑ رہا تھا اس بات کا اسے اندازہ نہیں تھا۔
