اس کی آنکھ کھلی، تو کھڑکی سے آنے والی صبح کی پہلی سنہری کرنیں اس کے چہرے پر رقص کر رہی تھیں۔ ٹرین ایک انجان اسٹیشن پر رکی ہوئی تھی۔ فضا میں مٹی کی سوندھی خوشبو اور ریلوے ہیکرز کی دور سے آتی آوازیں رچی بسی تھیں۔
اس نے نظریں گھما یں ۔ سامنے والی نشست خالی تھی۔
وہاں اب کوئی نہیں تھا۔ نہ وہ نیلی چادر، نہ وہ بھوری ڈائری، اور نہ ہی وہ پرسکون چہرہ۔ اس نے بے چینی سے ڈبے کے دروازے کی طرف دیکھا اور پھر دیوانہ وار ٹرین سے باہر نکل آیا۔
پلیٹ فارم پر ادھر ادھر چکر کاٹنے پر بھی نہ کامی ۔ اس کی نظریں ہر نیلی چادر اور ہر بکھرے بالوں والی لڑکی کو تلاش کر رہی تھیں۔ قلیوں سے ٹکرایا، مسافروں کے ہجوم کو چیرتا ہوا اسٹیشن کے باہر تک گیا، مگر وہ لڑکی کہیں نہیں تھی۔ وہ جیسے آئی تھی، ویسے ہی خاموشی سے کسی سائے کی طرح ہوا میں تحلیل ہو گئی تھی۔
وہ پلیٹ فارم کے ایک کونے میں کھڑا ہانپ رہا تھا۔ اچانک اسے احساس ہوا کہ وہ جسے تلاش کر رہا ہے، وہ کوئی انسان نہیں بلکہ ایک آئینہ تھی..ایک ایسا آئینہ جو کچھ لمحوں کے لیے اس کے سامنے آیا، اسے اس کی اپنی حقیقت دکھائی اور پھر اوجھل ہو گیا۔
