”اشتر نہیں۔۔۔پلیز۔۔میرے پاس تو فون بھی نہیں ہے۔۔آپ سے رابطہ کیسے کروں گی۔۔آپ کی خیریت کیسے معلوم کروں گی۔۔میں بہت پریشان رہوں گی اشتر۔۔“ اس کا معصوم دل لرزش کا شکار ہوا۔
”میں کچھ نہیں جانتا۔۔۔ میرا مسئلہ نہیں ہے یہ۔۔اور میرے پیٹھ پیچھے گھر سے باہر جانے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔۔اگر اپنی کزن کی شادی میں جانا ہو تو رحمت کاکا سے کہہ دینا۔“ اپنی آنکھوں پر گلاسز چڑھا کے وہ کمرے سے نکل گیا۔
”اشتر پلیز مجھے چھوڑ کے نہیں جائیں۔۔اشتر میں نہیں رہ سکوں گی سیریسلی۔“ وہ کمرے سے نکل کر چیخی، اس کی دہائی سن کے آخری سیڑھی اترتے اشتر نے سنی دل کو کچھ کچھ ہوا، لیکن سنگدلی کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے وہ وہاں سے چلا گیا۔
”اشتر“ انمول شکست خوردہ سے وہیں سیڑھی پر بیٹھ گئی اور سر سیڑھی کی ریلنگ سے ٹکا دیا۔
