”سر۔۔ آپ۔۔ آپ ٹھیک تو ہے ناں؟“ اسکے لہجے میں صرف فکر تھی۔ ولی نے پین کا کیپ بند کر کے مسکرا کر اسکی جانب دیکھا۔ افف خالی پن ویرانیت کیا کچھ نہ تھا ان آنکھوں میں۔ اسے دیکھ کر آرزو کی آنکھیں لمحے بھر میں بھر آئیں تھیں۔ ”دیکھیں آرزو ہر زخم بھرنے میں وقت لیتا ہے لیکن بھر ہی جاتا ہے۔ کچھ دنوں میں انشااللہ آپ کو اس سوال کا جواب مثبت میں ملے گا لیکن فلحال میں جواب دینے سے قاصر ہوں“ اس بار وہ چاہ کر بھی نہیں مسکرا پایا اور آرزو چاہ کر بھی اپنے آنسو روک نہیں سکی۔ ”آئی ایم سو سوری سر شاید میری وجہ سے“ اس نے اتنا ہی کہا تھا کہ ولی اسکی بات کاٹتے ہوئے فوراً بولا کیونکہ وہ جانتا تھا کہ آرزو کے دل پر کیا بوجھ ہے۔ ”آپ کیوں سوری کرتی ہیں؟ ارے میں تو آپ کا شکر گزار ہوں آپ نے وہ باتیں نوٹ کرلیں جو اتنے وقت میں میں نہیں کر سکا۔“ پھر اسنے گہری سانس لبوں سے خارج کی۔ وہ بہت آہستگی سے بات کرہے تھے کہ وہاں موجود اسٹاف ڈسٹرب نہ ہو ”قصوروار تو شاید وہ بھی نہیں تھی ارے وہ تو پوری ایمانداری سے اپنا فرض پورا کرہی تھی۔ غلط تو میں تھا جو محبت بیچ میں لے آیا“ بولتے ہوئے اسکی آنکھیں نم ہوگئی تھیں۔ آرزو نے افسوس سے اس کی شکل دیکھی۔ ”سر لیکن آپ نے محبت پر فرض کو فوقیت دی ہے آپ تو غلط ہو ہی نہیں سکتے“ اسکی بات پر ولی نے سر اثبات میں ہلا کر ہاتھوں میں بندھی گھڑی دیکھی ”پانچ منٹ ہے بریفنگ شروع ہونے میں آپ کو وہاں ہونا چاہیے“ اپنی بات کہہ کر وہ پین کھولتا واپس اپنے کام کی طرف متوجہ ہو گیا۔ آرزو بجھے دل سے اٹھ کر بریفنگ روم کی طرف بڑھ گئی۔
