''شیزل پہلے بھی تو ایسی ہی تھی۔ شروع سے ہی تھی۔ میں نے ہی خود کو اس کے پیچھے خوار کیا اور اب میں ہی خطا اٹھا رہا ہوں۔'' اس نے کرسی کی بیک پر تھوڑا سا وزن ڈال کر اس کے پہیوں کو زحمت دی۔ میز کی سب سے آخری دراز کھولی،دو کتابیں،ایک فوٹو فریم اور ایک البم کے نیچے مومی کاغذ میں کچھ لپٹا ہوا تھا۔ قیس نے اسے باہر نکالا،اس پر سے کاغذ ہٹایا۔ وہ ایک عدالتی پیپر تھا جس پر شیزل کے سائن تو واضح تھے مگر اس کے سائن والی جگہ اب بھی خالی تھی بالکل خالی۔ ''کچھ رشتوں کے ختم ہونے میں ہی بھلائی ہے۔ ذہنی اذیت سے تو بہتر ہے کہ ہم گریس فل انداز میں الگ ہوجائیں۔ تم کون ہو میں بھول جاؤں گی۔ میں کون ہوں تمہیں بھولنا ہوگا۔'' ماضی میں کہے شیزل کے جملے اس کے لبوں پر تلخ مسکراہٹ کا موجب بنے۔ آنکھوں میں خود کیلئے ترحم کوٹ کوٹ کر بھر گیا۔ ''بہت سا رحم تمہارے لیے قیس الہیٰ،بہت سا رحم۔'' کاغذ کو واپس لپیٹ کر اس نے چیزوں کے نیچے چھپا دیا۔ یہ چند اشیا تھیں جو اس کی زندگی کا کل حصہ تھیں۔ جنہیں وہ ہمیشہ اپنے ساتھ رکھتا تھا۔ محبت کے چالیس چراغ،شکوہ جواب شکوہ،اس کی اور شیزل کی تصویر جس میں وہ دونوں آپس میں مسکرا رہے تھے اور وہ البم جس میں اس کی تصاویر تھیں جو ان دونوں کی زندگی تھی ان دونوں کی انت الحیات،اس دنیا میں آئی ڈیڑھ دن کی مہمان،فقط ڈیڑھ دن کی۔ قیس میں اس البم کو کھولنے کی ہمت نہیں ہوئی تھی اس لیے اس نے اس البم کو کھولا اور نہ ہی الٹا رکھا ہوا فریم سیدھا کیا۔ دراز کو بند کرکے وہ اٹھائیس سالہ خوبرو انسان کرسی کی بیک پر سر ٹکا کر آنکھیں موند گیا،چہرہ اونچا تھا چھت کی جانب، ''بہت سا رحم تمہارے لیے کیونکہ تم اب بھی اس عورت سے امید لگائے بیٹھے ہو جس نے امید کا ہر در بند کردیا ہے۔ جس نے تمہیں صفائی کا ایک موقع نہیں دیا اور فیصلہ سنا دیا۔ جدائی کا فیصلہ۔'' اس نے گہرا سانس بھر کر موندی آنکھیں کھولیں پھر اطراف میں نگاہ دوڑائی جہاں فائلز،کاغذات،ریپورٹس اور جانے کیا کیا پڑا تھا۔ وہ یہاں کیوں آیا تھا اسے یاد آگیا۔ انکل حیدر نے اسے کال کی تھی اور بتایا تھا کہ شیزل کے علاقے میں قتل ہوگیا ہے۔ قتل چونکہ ملک کی اپر کلاس کے ہاں ہوا تھا اس لیے اسے جلد از جلد یہاں پہنچ کر اس مسئلے کو حل کرنا ہے۔ وہ یہاں نہ آتا ہرگز نہ آتا اگر درمیان میں شیزل نہ ہوتی۔ اسے لگا تھا وہ یہاں آئے گا تو شیزل اسے دیکھ کر شاید پگھل جائے گی،شاید اس کے دل میں بھی محبت جاگ جائے گی اور وہ اسے معاف کردے گی مگر وہ غلط تھا بالکل غلط،وہ بندہ شناس انسان تھا چند ملاقاتوں میں ہی جان گیا کہ وہ آج بھی اسے اتنا ہی ناپسند کرتی ہے جتنا اس نے کچھ عرصہ قبل اسے ناپسند کرنا شروع کیا تھا۔ وہ جان گیا تھا وہ اچھے سے اپنی حیثیت اس کی نظر میں جان گیا تھا۔ تبھی تو آج وہ خالد نسیم کے گھر نہیں گیا تھا۔ آج وہ کہیں بھی نہیں جانا چاہتا تھا کہیں بھی نہیں۔
