دراب خانزادہ نے ماتھے پر بل ڈالتے نوارد کو گھورا تھا۔

نیلی آنکھوں میں اس وقت شدید غصہ تھا، سرخ و سپید رنگت اور بھورے بال وہ یہاں کا باشندہ نہیں لگ رہا تھا۔

بلیوگرے ویسٹ کوٹ اور ڈریس پینٹ میں ملبوس وہ آدمی جو کھا جانے والی نظروں سے دراب خانزادہ کو گھور رہا تھا اب زینہ کو کندھوں سے تھام چکا تھا۔ زینہ ہوش سے بیگانہ ہوتی اس کے سینے سے لگی تھی۔

“بیوی؟ ” اس نے گنگ ہوتے ہوئے دہرایا تھا۔

“جی۔ یہ ڈاکٹر زینہ آپ کے لیے ہیں۔ لیکن یہ مسز زینہ ارمغان اسکندر ہیں۔” ارمغان نے زینہ کو نرمی سے تھامے ہوئے کہا تھا۔

دراب خانزادہ کی حالت ایسی تھی جیسے کاٹو تو لہو نہیں۔

“ارمغان۔۔۔ ” زینہ نے دھیرے سے کہتے ہوئے آنکھیں کھولیں تھیں۔ ارمغان فوراً ہی اس کی جانب متوجہ ہوا تھا۔ گلابی رنگ کے حجاب میں اس کا چہرہ اس وقت لٹھے کی مانند سفید پڑ گیا تھا۔

“زینہ میں ہوں تمہارے پاس۔ ” ارمغان نے اسے تسلی دیتے اپنی بانہوں میں اٹھایا تھا۔

زینہ نے فوراً اس کی شرٹ کا کالر تھامتے اس کے چوڑے سینے میں اپنا چہرہ چھپایا تھا۔

“ارمغان وہ گاڑی میری طرف۔۔۔ “”وہ مجھے کچلنے والی تھی۔۔۔ ” زینہ نے ارمغان کے سینے میں چھپتے لرزتے ہوئے کہا تھا۔

ارمغان کی گردن کی رگیں تنی تھیں۔

“کچھ نہیں ہوا ہے زینہ۔ میں دیکھ لوں گا اسے۔ میں ہوں اب تمہارے پاس۔ ” ارمغان اسے تسلی دیتا گاڑی کی جانب بڑھا تھا۔

جانے سے پہلے اس نے دراب خانزادہ کو ایک گھوری سے نوازا تھا جو اب بھی سکتے کی کیفیت میں کھڑا اپنی محبت کو کسی اور کی بانہوں میں خود سے دور جاتے ہوئے دیکھ رہا تھا۔
