میراک واپس مڑا، کونے میں رکھی میز سے کچھ اٹھایا۔ اس کی کمر اب بھی حامد کی طرف تھی، جیسے سامنے بیٹھے انسان کی فریادیں اس کے لیے کسی شور سے زیادہ نہ ہوں۔

میراک نے ہلکی سی مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ کہا۔ وہ پلٹا تو حامد کی نظر صرف میراک کے ہاتھ میں موجود تیزاب پر تھی۔ ہر قدم بیسمنٹ کی خاموشی میں گونج رہا تھا۔ حامد کی آنکھیں جیسے پھٹ کر باہر آنے والی تھیں ، سانس رکی ہوئی، جیسے اس کے سامنے خود موت قدم بڑھا رہی ہو۔
